We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Stores Operative to support the day-to-day running of our stores and warehouse. You will help ensure materials and equipment are received, stored and prepared accurately, contributing to an efficient and well-organised operation.
Key Responsibilities
Stores and warehouse duties – carry out general stores and warehouse tasks, keeping work areas organised and materials stored safely.
Picking and packing – pick, check and pack materials and equipment accurately in line with orders and dispatch requirements.
Goods in – receive incoming deliveries, check items against delivery notes and report any discrepancies or damage.
Preparing goods – prepare materials and equipment for collection, dispatch or internal use, ensuring they are correctly identified and ready on time.
Stock handling – handle and move stock carefully, following safe working practices and any relevant manual handling procedures.
Teamwork – work with colleagues to support daily warehouse priorities and maintain an efficient service.
Candidate Requirements
Reliability – dependable, punctual and able to follow instructions and agreed procedures.
Attention to detail – able to check deliveries, pick items accurately and identify discrepancies.
Organisation – able to keep stock and work areas orderly and manage tasks effectively.
Practical approach – willing to undertake hands-on stores and warehouse duties, including handling materials and equipment.
Teamwork and communication – able to communicate clearly and work positively with colleagues.
Safety awareness – committed to following workplace health and safety requirements and handling goods responsibly.
Experience – previous stores or warehouse experience is beneficial, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are also valued.
